The orthodontist will evaluate your dental and medical history, oral health and intraoral situation, perform imaging investigations (digital intraoral and facial scan, radiography, CT), clarify your expectations and, based on all these considerations, present you with the different treatment options

The multidisciplinary team performs a detailed clinical assessment and determines the type of treatment required, followed by a digital simulation to preview the final result. Together with personal preferences, at the end of this stage the optimal treatment option will be chosen, either with fixed braces or with clear alligners

Before applying the braces/clear alligners, treatments such as scaling, fillings or extractions may be necessary if the teeth do not allow immediate application of the braces/alligners
 

In the case of fixed braces, brackets are attached on the teeth and the orthodontic arch is fixed. In the case of aligners, they will be custom-made after confirming the case. They are worn daily in the planned order, on average 22–23 hours, being removed only at meals and during brushing. The doctor explains the rules of hygiene and nutrition during the treatment

For fixed braces, you will return to the clinic every 4–6 weeks for adjustments and activations. These visits are essential for the progress of your treatment

In the case of clear alligners, follow-up visits are scheduled according to the doctor's recommendations to monitor progress and, if necessary, adjust the aligners

In the case of fixed appliances, the brackets are removed and in the case of aligners, the planned wearing of the aligners is stopped.

To maintain the result obtained at the end of the treatment, it is recommended to apply some form of retention (contention, fixed retention, etc.). If there are other additional treatments in your plan, they can be performed now after completing the orthodontic treatment
